90th Anniversary Special


Since her establishment in 1913, the Macao Chamber of Commerce has been working significantly for the economic stability and development of the society. Today, the Chamber is one of most inferential and most representative private industrial and commercial associations in Macao.

In our 90th Anniversary, the Chamber received inspiring dedications from the President of the People¡¦s Republic of China - Jiang Zemin and, the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People¡¦s Congress - Li Peng. Their encouragements and concerns deeply impressed us.

For the celebration of the 90th Anniversary, the Chamber had arranged series of activities, which included ¡§The Chamber¡¦s Gathering Dinner Party¡¨ on 3 January, ¡§The 90th Anniversary Series Celebrating Activities¡¨ from 7 ¡V 9, January, and ¡§The 90th Anniversary Banquet¡¨ on 8 January.

Through these activities, the relationship amongst the Chamber and the Chinese entrepreneurs and organizations had become closer. The participants learnt and were greatly impressed that the Macao SAR economy is stable and people are friendly and enthusiastic.

In the future, the Chamber will preserve with her objectives: to serve and support her motherland unconditionally; to co-ordinate amongst the business sectors; to stabilize and uphold the development of the economy and to strive for the wealth and re-union of China.
